Individual Counselling.

ADHD Counselling.

You have lived your life hearing that you are scatter-brained, klutzy, or quirky. You have trouble focusing, struggle to stay organized, and you are creative. At the end of the day you're not sure where the day went. You recognize that all of this is starting to cause problems. It's time to make a change; all of these issues are impacting your ability to live the life you want. You want to learn tools to move forward with your life. You want someone who understands.

You are worried that you might be less than other people: perhaps not as intelligent, not as skilled, and unable to do the same activities. These worries make sense, and are based on your past experiences, but you’re not sure they’re factual. ADHD is a complex issue that can impact you in many ways; tools can help you overcome some challenges and harness the positive effects. YES, there are positive impacts of ADHD – in fact, likely, you are already harnessing them unconsciously. We get it. We work to help our clients understand the challenges they are having; we work together to identify the source of the challenge, then collaborate to find ways to overcome those challenges. Sometimes just knowing why you struggle in a certain way helps; other times, a new way of looking at it will bring a solution.

Let us help you develop the tools and find habits that will help you move forward.

Anxiety Counselling.

There is a knot in your stomach as you get ready to go out with your friends, what if no one talks to you at the party? What if no one laughs at your joke? What if you’re late? What if you can't get a table at the restaurant?

What if? That question never stops running in your mind, you feel tense and you are always worried about what might happen. Even when you are confident in your plans, you feel like you have to fight off the 'what if' questions in your mind. Your worrying thoughts are keeping you from doing the things you want to do.

Let us help you understand your anxiety. We can help you find new ways of coping and new skills to move forward with your life. We want to give you a caring and safe place to share these worries, and then learn how to explore some of their causes and ways to deal with them.

Communication Counselling.

You constantly find yourself in conflicts that you are not sure how it even started, you struggle to ask for promotions or things you want from work, you feel like you are constantly being convinced that “it’s not a big deal” despite how you feel. Your friends and family do not listen or care about your opinion, you find they do not understand what you are trying to tell them. You know you have things to offer but no ones seem to hear, you feel like you can help but every time you try it gets worse.

Communication is the cornerstone of any relationship. These skills are so necessary, but they do not teach this in school. How do we set healthy boundaries and still build relationships? We have all heard communication is the foundation for a healthy relationship, but what does that mean. It means not just talking but being able to help others understand the meaning you are trying to convey.

Communication is a skill; it is possible to develop it and learn how to connect and share with others in a safe and authentic way.
